Completion of this class is required in order to qualify for some of the special homebuyer assistance programs. Real Estate Agents can get 4 elective continuing education units. The class is $20 and if that is a hardship, scholarships are available. Classes are held in the new conference room.

(Sheridan) Homebuyer Education
Headwaters RC&D Area, Inc. provides 1st Time Homebuyer Education classes on a monthly basis.These eight-hour classes are held on two evenings from 5-9 p.m. In order to receive a Certification of Completion the participant must attend the full 8-hour session. The classes provide information on budgeting and credit, the home loan process, down-payment and closing cost assistance, homeowners and life insurance, home maintenance, protecting your equity, and USDA Rural Development Programs including the Self-Help Program. Advanced Registration is required, cost is $20 per person. NOTE: Our classroom is not suitable for children. Please arrange for child care in your own home during the class.
